not a birthday letter. well maybe

Happy first birthday boot. No Birthday letter for you to read twenty years from now, because let’s face it: twenty years from now the internet will be replaced by all knowing turtles who also do the dishes. But just in case this blog is still alive in some corner of the universe, let me just say that my life is infinitely better with you in it. it took me the better part of a year to realise that, but it’s true. Happy Birthday! And you loved the aquarium. it was my idea. don’t let your dad tell you otherwise. DSC02369

  1. Happy Birthday to Boot! Wow, a photo at last! But whats with these no face photos? How can I say “appadiye amma maadhiri” seeing photos like these, huh? Not that I have seen you but thats not the point! πŸ˜‰

  2. Hey boot! Incase the turtles have not taken over, but hopefully ARE doing the dishes and folding the freshly washed clothes – then you must know that some strange lady in Bombay has been following your life from afar, totally fascinated. And when you are 22, with your head turned towards the sun, and your hat possibly drooping over your eyes, I will tap you on your shoulder and say- hey , I know you, I recognise you from your first birthday picture!

Hope the fishes blow bubbles back at you. Enjoy!

  3. A very very happy birthday to kid πŸ™‚ He looks very very cute πŸ™‚ I have been here once before but didn’t have much time to read much. Like your posts and your way of writing πŸ™‚ Will definitely be back. Do visit when you have the time πŸ™‚

  4. One of the better photographs of Boot I have seen in recent times.
